I became a Clarksville home owner in1976 when the Army assigned me to Fort Campbell. After doing the math with the housing allowance, I decided it would be a better investment if I used that money to purchase a home rather than spend it on a rental. I realized I wasn't likely to live here forever but thought a nice home would make a good rental and become a great tax shelter for me as time passed. Little did I ever suspect that I would eventually move back to Clarksville and into that very house! When I purchased the house, I was a widow with a 6 year old son. Years later, I married a soldier and, upon his retirement, guess where we moved! After renovating the house and adding on, my investment is now our home and has no mortgage!

When I purchased my home in 1976, I was a first time home buyer and relied, almost entirely, on my Realtor, Marianne Jacumin. She was great!
